New York Fashion Week with Mark & Estel

This year fashion week was a little different for me. Instead of just watching the shows I took a internship with one of my favorite designers Mark & Estel. It was gods plan for me to work alongside them. Last season I was just another spectator in the crowd at their fall/winter runway show at the Lincoln center. It just so happen right after that show I started following the designers on twitter and Instagram. I was super excited when they followed me back. This was something major. Over the months I watched and waited to see if there would be any job openings with them. Nothing until three weeks ago. I was on twitter and seen a post for interns. Could this be real. I quickly grab my laptop and submitted my resume. What was even more surprising was the fast response that I received. Something great was happening. I was getting the opportunity to work alongside Mark & Estel. The week with them was Phenominal. From casting to run of show. I got a chance to speak to both designers one and one. As a upcoming stylist building a realationship with designers is a must. My future clients will be wearing Mark & Estel. You can put your money on it. No matter where life takes me this is one company I would work for and with during fashion week or any other time if there is every a opening. I also met a lot of great people while working with Mark & Estel. One of their great friend Mindy Cohen ( the voice of Velma scooby doo & Star of facts of life ) it's super exciting when you meet someone that you have bin watching for years on tv and they treat you as one their peers. I also got a chance to talk to mindy one and one. Two days before the show I got the chance to get a free manicure form lead manicurists Cinnnamon of Zoya. Who's better to test out the models nail look but me. Nominated by Mark & Estel leading ladies Becca & Asia. Now I have a nail tech that com come to my house because of cinnamon. Conversing with her about how my old manicurists damaged me nail. She introduced me to someone on her team that can be my go to from now on. Let's not forget about the other interns that I build a connection with over the week. Hoping to keep in touch with them all and wishing them all the best in their future endeavors.
