After attending the movie premier for the movie 42 which takes us inside Jackie Robinson life I have a different respect for him. Jackie was born in the era of segregation. Blacks were not even allowed to use the same bathroom as white much less play the same sport. Jackie Robinson changed that by showing them that his game would speak for itself. The strength that this man has is beyond crazy. I mean could you get taunted everyday by someone from another race calling and saying "hey nigga, nigga. I know I couldn't but this man stood there day after day took all the criticism even though many times he wanted to bash their skulls in. I must say that saying "every king needs a queen" is right. His wife stood by his side during the trying times and kept him grounded and focus on the bigger picture. God bless her and everyone who believe in Jackie and was ready for change. This movie brought tears to my eyes as well as to others that went to see the movie as well. How does one dress for a movie premier??? My ensemble: stripped blazer(necessary clothing) peach Tulle skirt(papaya- purchased two years ago)(finally got a chance to wear it)paired with my favorite peep toe sandals. I don't shop for the season or the year. I shop for things that catches my eyes and scream my name. Movie in theaters now!!!!
